Online Resizing LVM Partitions CentOS 6.8 and can also be used for any Linux Server Partitioning.

First download CentOS 6.8 using the NetInstall or Minimal version, I prefer using the NetInstall but it’s easiest to use the CentOS Minimal Installation.

Download CentOS 6.8 NetInstall x86_64 OR Download CentOS 6.8 Minimal x86_64

If using a hypervisor attach the .ISO and boot the virtual machine to begin install, or if using a dedicated server, burn the .ISO image to a CD or DVD and boot. You might have to access BIOS and enable the CD or DVD drive as first boot device.

When using CentOS 6.8 Netinstall you will get a screen called Installation Method. Here you will pick URL. We recommend the Minimal Installation for an easier install.

When you get to the URL Setup screen add this URL:

CentOS 64-bit Download Mirrors

http://isoredirect.centos.org/centos/6/isos/x86_64/

Now CentOS 6.8 for x86_64 will now begin to retrieve all the required files.

Make sure to set the hostname during setup that you’re going to use as your main Parallels Plesk Panel 12 hostname.

You can set your hostname in shell by typing hostname in what you want your FQDN fully qualified domain name to be.
